Move — WASD · Shift = run · Alt = precision slow-move · arrow keys = fine, Shift+arrows = extra-fine.
Camera — drag to orbit, wheel / pinch to zoom.
Reading the display — the instrument screen uses the manufacturer's labels: Hz is the horizontal angle (HA) and V is the zenith angle (ZA). Same measurements, Leica's names.
Long sights read low — the earth curves away and the atmosphere bends the sight line, so a target of equal height appears below level and an uncorrected elevation books low by (1−k)·d²/2R: about 0.6 cm at 300 m, 2.5 cm at 600 m, 5.5 cm at 900 m. This is geometry, not instrument error, so it is there at every Error setting including Zero. Add +0.0208·K² ft (K in thousands of feet), balance your backsight and foresight distances when leveling, or observe reciprocally.
Touch — joystick to move (push gently to walk slower); Fast toggles run.
Gamepad — press any button and the hints above switch to controller buttons, and back the moment you touch the keyboard. Layout, deadzone, look speed, hold-vs-toggle and vibration all live under Settings once a pad has been used.
